We produce furniture that can be upgraded and renewed, thereby extending its lifespan. Renewal of furniture can be replacing worn and dirty textiles on the frame, new foam in the seat or back cushions, replacing the frame or full surface renovation of the wood. In product development, we have consciously chosen to work with designers who use strategic and craftsmanship-based solutions to create a piece of furniture that maintains good quality and can last a long time.

Nordic Ecolabelled furniture and furnishings meet strict requirements for:
- use of certified wood raw materials where at least 70% of the wood must come from certified forestry
- use of recycled plastic and metal
- reduced use of substances harmful to the environment and health, including for surface treatment, flame retardants, etc.
- durability and wear resistance
- possibility of recycling at the end of its useful life
- manufacturer's waste management

Helland is now launching more furniture with the Nordic Ecolabel, and these products are treated with a special water-based varnish. This varnish has high durability, but we advise against the use of disinfectants as this can shorten the life of the product.
